Today started off on an “Oops!” note as I completely overslept, guess I was just to cozy in that nice warm bed. Finally after navigating through the busy work day I get to blog and start planning the future posts, projects, reviews, and more. Over the next couple months I would like to hear what people are interested in craft wise and begin my venture into the world of knitting and crochet. Two wonderfully fun hobbies that could easily become a business for people who are very talented. Knitting and Crocheting are far from what I expected them to be and I was pleased to see how many men have taken up the skill. Yes I said skill because both are just that skills.
I never thought that I would master how to knit, purl, cast on, cast off, much less make a silly slip knot. Even with a Scout Master for a father I fail miserably at making any type of knot that does not fall apart. Nevertheless in a couple short weeks I found myself knitting my first blanket; amazingly enough I took to knitting much faster then I could master the chain stitch in crochet. After several months I have learned the very basics of both crocheting and knitting.
Tonight I’m looking through countless patterns, videos, demos, and review sites to plan the next several posts ~ I can hardly decide what to cover first – so lets start with a few posts of my very scary first projects. I might just throw in a few pictures of the fantastic soaps from a little shop called Soapy Bar (to which you will find a link on our page).
Remember ~ things are only impossible until you try ~
